AMATEUR MMA RULES

  • The minimum age for competitors at Amateur level is 16 years

  • Amateur fights duration =  3 x 3 minutes

  • Amateur title fights duration = 5 x 3 minutes

  • 8oz gloves to be worn

  • No shin guards to be worn (use of shin guards may be permitted for specific UKMMAF tournaments)

  • Hammer fists permitted

  • Neck cranks NOT permitted

  • Toe holds NOT permitted

  • Twisters NOT permitted

  • Sit through Crucifix is NOT permitted
